Happy Father's Day

Seven years ago, I was sitting in a bowling alley on some godawful date and I started thinking about what qualities I wanted for my future husband/father of my kids. I had just escaped a horrible on-again off-again relationship of more than two years, so I already knew what I didn't want.

As I stared into the computer screen pretending to keep score, I suddenly thought, "I want someone as good as my dad." I had dated a wide variety of guys, but no one had ever come close to being as good as my dad.

A few weeks later, I met Robbie. Now I have two of the world's greatest men in my life and two little boys who will follow in their footsteps. Happy Father's Day!

  1. I'm so glad that when it came to making the really important decisions in life you made the best ones. Considering that I married your father at the ripe old age of 18, I was very lucky. I couldn't have found a more loving and honorable man. As for Robbie, I know we kid around with each other a lot but, I think he is one of the best men I have ever met. I couldn't have picked a better father for my grandchildren.

  2. First of all my shirt sucks. That was very nice of what you said about me and it meant a lot hearing. I was not sure that I did anything to influence you into doing something or making a choice that you did not want to other than turning you into a vegetarian (butchering rabbits). But you have made some very good choice's Robbie being a great one. I love ya and cannot wait to see you in a couple of weeks.
